NW Adventures LLC Company Info
Joel NW Adventures LLC is an event marketing, planning, and production company specializing in multi-discipline, muscle-powered events. The brothers and co-founders, Justin and Joel Yeager, entered the sport of adventure racing in 1998, when adventure racing was just becoming a well-known sport. They have both participated in dozens of adventure races and bring their experience and knowledge to the company.

In 2002, NW Adventures produced the Summit Series, five events that promoted the outdoor experienceand fostered the growth of map and compass development. In 2003, the brothers brought the TRIOBA Adventure Racing Series to Washington State. Teams of two, three, and four kayaked, mountain biked, and trekked their way over the spectacular landscape of the Cascade Range. Participants quickly discovered that the TRIOBA was an adventure race that would seriously challenge their skills, stamina, and determination, testing them against the rugged terrain, unpredictable weather, and other competitors all in an effort to complete the TRIOBA courses in 24 hours.

Building on the momentum of being voted the best adventure race in the Pacific Northwest by City Sports Magazine two years in a row (2003 and 2004), the JustinTRIOBA Adventure Racing Series moved to the forefront of the west coast adventure racing community and produced three TRIOBA Sprint Races and three TRIOBA 24-Hour Races in 2004. The sprints were designed for the weekend warriors and those just beginning adventure racing. The 24-Hour series were designed to challenge even the most experienced teams, physically, mentally, and navigationally. Teams from the United States and Canada assembled in Washington State with the hopes of completing what is quickly becoming known as one of the toughest 24-hour adventure races in North America.

In 2005, the Northwest adventure race season kicked off in February with the Winteroba, a winter adventure race. The TRIOBA Adventure Racing Series quickly followed with races in April, July, and September. The season finale culminated with the TRIOBA Championship Race in September, a 24-hour race that truly challenged each team. Each race brought teams through an increasing set of challengesand difficulty levels, allowing teams to develop and grow through each race of the 2005 season.

The 2007 TRIOBA Racing Series builds on the foundation of the five previous successful years. Similar to the 2006 season the TRIOBA Series will consist of two races a sprint and a 12-hour. The team with the best finishes throughout the season will earn the Pacific Northwest Championship Title.
